Bharat is the greatest land in the world. Sages and saints took birth on this holy soil, and through penance they composed the world's first scriptures and guided humanity.
Our sages understood the universe and the sciences thousands of years ago. India was known across the world as the Golden Bird — its kings and its society prosperous and glorious. When European countries had no schools, this land already had lakhs of Gurukuls and universities, and seekers travelled here from distant countries to gain knowledge.
Attracted by that prosperity, foreign invaders attacked Indian land, looted large parts of undivided Bharat and forcibly converted people to other religions. Many kingdoms surrendered, and their people changed their faith with their kings.
